Megan began drawing and painting as a child. At the age of ten, she first studied landscape painting with the artist Ted Goerschner who taught that an artist must know how to draw or their painting would not be believable. Megan majored in Fashion Illustration at Moore College of Art where she received extraordinary instruction in classical academic figure drawing and painting and continued her studies in drawing and painting the figure, portrait and landscape in oils at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Megan has been a selected participant in many regional Plein Air events, most recently the Plein Air Brandywine Valley, Bucks County Plein Air Festival, and Chestnut Hill Plein Air.
Megan’s award winning work is in many private collections and has been exhibited in galleries in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Moore College of Art and Design, James Oliver Gallery, Gold Light Gallery, New Hope Arts and others.
