Jean-Marc Dubus is a multi-talented artist, specializing in oil paintings, digital art, and mural work. His portfolio focuses on the application of abstraction through the investigation of the dynamics of landscape and the manipulation of its effects. By applying a wide variety of contemporary strategies, Jean-Marc approaches a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way. He believes in the idea of function following form in a piece of art, and his ultimate goal is to engage the viewer both mentally and physically with his works.
Born and raised in France, Jean-Marc Dubus has explored artistic creation his whole life. He studied Art at the Beaux Arts in Valenciennes, France before obtaining his MFA in Studio Art from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs in Nice, France. Upon coming to the United States, Jean-Marc studied Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction at Arcadia University and De Paul University. When not creating art, he can be found traveling, reading comic books, or biking along the Delaware River.
Jean-Marc currently lives and works in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
