Paper collage is an approachable art form made by pasting paper to a backing, no drawing skills required. Works made by collage can vary from simple and direct to sophisticated and abstract. In this class, participants will create a new collage each week while exploring different techniques and materials, principles of composition and design, and the occasional tidbit of art history. The program is taught by Deborah Eater, a nationally acclaimed collage artist noted especially for her painterly collage.
